Google started a revolutionary change in PPC by introducing a CTR (Click Thought Rate) method that introduced competition in bidding beyond money. This was Google's first of the two revolutions to the PPC concept through Adword, Google's PPC department.

The second revolution has to do with what is technically referred to as "impressions". Impressions are the number of times a PPC advert is displayed on a webpage. An impression means that the advert has been served and is available to the surfer to click.

Impressions have a direct impact on the earnings of a PPC company. The more impressions a PPC company can serve to its audience, the more the literal numbers of clicks. The more the number of absolute clicks, the more the PPC company earns. And this is even without an increase in CTR. This results to a positive spiral.

The more the clicks, the more the visitors are channeled to the advertisers' websites. Consequently the advertisers tend to find the particular PPC company effective in driving traffic to their sites.

To achieve this effect, companies looked into ways to increase the number of times surfers see the adverts- impressions.

Before Adword, PPC's jostled to be displayed in websites of high traffic. Websites like AOL and CNN that have millions of visitors per month were targeted to display PPC
adverts for a commission. Small websites with hundreds even thousands of visitors were
considered insignificant. Then enter Google; they choose to display their ads in each and every website that carried what they refer to as "quality content". Quality content is interpreted by most as referring to informative editorial content as opposed to sales letters, infomercials and plain keyword-based gibberish. Such websites were viable for PPC display in a program called Adsense. This was despite the number of visitors.

This had a near sudden drastic change in the effectiveness of PPCs.

Small websites with less than 200 web pages and a few thousand visitors monthly make up most of the internet. As a result Adword's total impressions increased astronomically beating all its rivals. There was a further positive effect. Often such websites are highly topical and only concern themselves with specific niches like weight loss pills or out-size women's clothing. Consequently the content sensitive Adwords that display on these websites are so relevant to their visitors that CTR automatically shot skywards.

This strategy of involving the small internet guy of the internet resulted to huge increase in earnings without increasing the cost to the advertisers. But most importantly, Google has positioned itself not only as the leading search engine but also the most preferred PPC due to wide reach and affordability. So successful is Adword that Yahoo is in beta testing of a similar concept, and MSN is rumored of being in process of developing "the mother" of all PPCs.

Realtors are you looking for a way to track visitors to your website. Advertising has always been the life blood of the real estate industry, but it has always been difficult to judge what advertising was working. In mid November Google announced a new free service called "Google Analytics". Google had previously offered this service under the name "Urchin".

Urchin was a wonderful way to track traffic through your website. However, Urchin cost around $299 per month, and was out of the reach of most small businesses. Well get ready for some good news. Google Analytics can help Realtors use performance data to improve their online marketing campaigns and websites. With Google Analytics, realtors can determine what keywords attract the most visitors, which email campaigns create more customers, and how to design web pages that hold people's attention. Best of all, it is completely free if you have an active Google "AdWords" pay per click advertising account.

"We want to give all online marketers and publishers access to powerful web analytics to help them better understand what their customers want. With this knowledge, businesses can create more accurate advertising and build better websites," said Paul Muret, Google engineering director, and one of the founders of Urchin. "By making this powerful service free, we aim to give all websites, large and small, the tools they need to better serve their customers, make more money, and improve the web experience for everyone".

Google Analytics tracks all of your online marketing. Be it email, newsletters, pay per
click, natural search results, or any other online advertising you can think of. Get visual
summaries of traffic in the form of graphs and pie charts. Track conversions on your real estate website without hunting through complicated reports. You will quickly see any problem areas. Get real time feed back on your Google pay per click, or Yahoo advertising campaigns. See what keywords your customers are using to find your real estate website. The Google analytics dashboard gives you a clear visual format that is fast and easy to digest.

If you have an AdWords account, you can access Google Analytics directly from your AdWords control panel. Google Analytics also saves you time by automatically importing all your keyword data from AdWords. So you see return on investment and other key metrics for every keyword you have in your AdWords pay per click advertising campaign with no extra effort on your part, just by using Google Analytics.

If your a professional realtor with a website, you should be using a Google pay per click advertising campaign to promote your real estate website. You can list the keywords that you want to use. You can customize your ads within minutes. You can change your ads on the fly and see the results live on Google in ten minutes. Setting up a Google advertising account only takes about ten minutes and the start up cost is five dollars. Once your real estate advertising campaign is in place Google analytics will show you what is working and just as importantly, what's not working. Just setting up an account is easy enough, however it is a good idea to seek the help of a full time Google AdWords professional. A professionally created AdWords advertising campaign can save you from some expensive mistakes and can help you get the positive results you are looking for in a very short time.

This problem of a computer not shutting down is actually more common than you might think, and the solution to this problem is in fact pretty simple. The more common symptoms faced by most users are that after a user clicks on the ‘shutdown’ button, the computer seems to be in a state of stasis and instead of shutting down, there is constant disk activity. The computer then seems to hang and the disk light dies, maybe hiccupping once in a while.

Some people experience the “blue screen of death” and the familiar beep sound comes on whenever they try to press any of the keyboard buttons. If this is happening to you on almost a weekly basis then this article will definitely help you out, as it tells you what to do when your computer does not shut down.

The problem is most likely your system registry. This little component Windows uses is stored in the system folder and the easiest way of explaining its concept is that the registry is a sort of a critical log book that Windows uses. Every thing that happens within the Windows environment will be tracked in the log book and what the operating system lists down in the registry are the instructions of each and every program that is installed within it. It is not only limited to software, but hardware changes and instructions are also placed within the registry. This includes system files, load files,
driver details - everything to make
your programs run as they should. Now as time goes by, you would have done a lot of installing and uninstalling, and mistakes do happen since even computers and code are not perfect. So problems like invalid entries, lost and orphan data keys, blank spaces and even virulent lines of code written by malware and Trojan viruses get self invited to the registry. This means that your registry could possibly end up corrupted, and the common symptoms of this is a slower computer, common auto run errors, runtime errors and even Windows and program crashes.

There is always a reason why the computer cannot shut down. There are certain procedures that it does to shut down and the problem can occur when a registry entry for a program it’s trying to close is either lost or corrupted. Or the registry is filled with invalid system entries that choke the system when it is trying to exit from its operating system environment and close down critical system programs.

What you need to do of course is to get a registry cleaner, a program that is freely available on the internet. Download a good one - so do your research and soon your computer problems will go away and it will be able to shut down once again. The registry is actually the root of many problems within the Windows environment and you should always do a scan and clean once every week to ensure that it runs healthily. This is what to do when your computer does not shut down and I hope this article has solved your problem.

When it comes to title tags and search engine optimization there are a few question website owners typically ask. Does each individual web page need a different title? Is there a maximum length for title tags? Is there a title tag limit? Are title Meta tags a good idea?

The World Wide Web Consortium requires that every single HTML document must have a title element in the head section. They also state that the title element should be used to identify each individual pages content.

The title tag plays four separate roles on the internet.

The first role the title tag fulfills is what librarians, other webmasters, and directory editors use to link to other websites. A well written title tag is far more likely to get faster reviews then one that is sloppy or incomprehendable.

The title tag is what is displayed on the visitor's browser. By displaying the title tag in the visitors browser the web user knows exactly where they are if they have to return to the site later on. Internet Explorer typically tires to display the first ninety-five characters of the title tag.

Search engines display the title tag as the most important piece of information available to web searchers.

A good title tag should be able to clearly indicate the webpage's contents to the web
user. A clear title tag is more likely to be placed in the user's favorites list. The normal
length for a good clear title tag is normally under sixty-five characters long. Title tags should be typed in the title case. Headers should also be typed in the title case.

When it comes to search engine optimization, the home page title is normally the first thing the web crawlers look at when they are ranking a webpage. Your website is introduced by your homepage title.
It is important to make sure that your title tag sounds credible.

Every single page of your website must have its very own unique title. A Meta tag is a special HTML tag that provides information about a web page. Meta tags do not affect the display of a webpage. Although Meta tags are placed directly into the HTML code, they are invisible to web users. Search engines use Meta tags to help correctly categorize a page. Meta tags are a critical part of search engine optimization.

It is important to remember that Meta tags are not a magic solution to making your website a raging success. The most valuable feature Meta tags offer to website owners is the ability to control (to a certain degree) how their web pages are described by the search engines. Meta tags can also let website owners prevent having their website indexed at all.

Meta tag keywords are a way to provide extra test for web crawler based search engines to index. While this is great in theory several of the major search engines have crawlers that ignore the HTML and focus entirely on the body of the webpage.

When it comes to reducing your car insurance premiums you can do a lot to help yourself. However one of the biggest ways in which you can make savings is by choosing to look around for your car insurance. Not only should you shop around, but the best place to look for your car insurance is by doing so online.

Reducing your car insurance premiums isn’t really all that hard just type in the words “car insurance” on any popular search engine and it will give you a huge range to choose from. Of course while this is the best place to look when it comes to purchasing your car insurance, there are some factors that you should have given some thought to beforehand.

To begin with when it comes to reducing your car insurance some thought should be given as to the type of car that you should get. The smaller the car, the less your car insurance will cost you, if you choose a car with a bigger engine then your premiums will be a lot higher. Another factor to take into consideration when it comes to choosing your car is to avoid buying one which is imported, this is usually because the cost to repair them is more expensive.

The more security features that you
install on your car, then the safer it is classed, and as such this can help to bring down your premiums. Many insurers will have listings giving you information on the brands and types of security features that they class as being better than others, simply by installing these you can reduce your car insurance premiums.

One of the biggest ways you can make savings is by having a clean driving record; if you have points on your record then this will boost up the amount that you are quoted for your premium, however when applying for your insurance online it is essential that you be totally honest if you do have points.

Always make sure that you don’t include people on your insurance that aren’t going to be driving your car on a regular basis, the more people that you have on your insurance then the higher the premium will be, so if you have family members listed then consider removing them to save on your premium.

Other ways in which you can reduce your car insurance premium is to take advanced driving lessons to boost your safety record and if you are a young driver, an older driver or a woman driver then check out the many specialist sites which cater specifically for age and gender.

The cost of car insurance is forever on the rise and it looks like it will continue to rise in the future, so now it is essential more than ever that consumers shop around when it comes to taking out their car insurance. By far the best way to purchase car insurance and to get the best deal is by making comparisons online, this is also the easiest way to find out about the many different policies available and what they entail.

A recent study into the cost of car insurance has shown that premiums have risen and then levelled out but it is thought that they will continue to rise in the near future. On average it currently costs around £800 in order to take fully comprehensive for your car insurance.

Over recent times the cost of car insurance has been rising by around 6% and it is estimated that the current trends will continue to rise at rates such as this in the coming year. However while this could happen there will always be bargains to be found by providers offering discounts, of course the best bargains to be found without a doubt are online.

By looking online you are able to not only shop around for the cheapest and best deals
when it comes to premiums but you are also able to make comparisons with many companies. In just a few minutes by using one of the popular search engines you are able to find a huge amount of insurers and not only compare the premiums they offer but also what the particular policies entail.

Thee are many different types of insurance policy and many additions you can take with them, it is essential that you understand what these entail and there is much free information to be found when it comes to this aspect.

Choosing the cheapest premium isn’t always in your best interest and what might seem like a very good deal could in fact end up costing you much more if you have to take additional cover with the basic. The policy that one company offers isn’t always the same as one which another offers and this should be taken into account when making the comparison in premiums.

So when looking online for the best deal always take this into account and also make sure that you understand what the exceptions and exclusions are, for the majority of time exclusions are hidden in the small print of policies, so be aware of this when choosing your policy.

Take a typical nightmarish dream sequence you may have deep in the night, add ponderous acrobatics and aerobatics, an eerie story of clowns, death and a funeral, sprinkle in a carnival-like atmosphere ripe with little people and balloons, and inject a heart-pounding live, original score that combines with strange scenes that surround you like a psychedelics-infused blanket, and you've got Corteo.

Last night I went to the Boston show of Corteo, another installment of the hugely popular Cirque Du Soleil. It's a circus, a theatrical musical, a gymnastics show and more. The audience surrounds a perfect circular stage, all under a gigantic big top that successfully blocks out every single photon of outside light.

The entire circle, both stage and audience stands, is sliced in half by two curtains that were a semi-transparent gauze. Between these ephemeral barriers stand the props and actors/athletes who begin the spectacle.

The story is essentially about a clown's funeral, although it took all six of my group to determine the exact plot post-show. It opens with a clown on his death bed, I think, although almost everything is a tinge unclear. And the ongoing mumblings of this doomed clown are in Italian to boot, so it was often tough following things. But he did take pity on the crowd occasionally and would blurt something out in English.

It's difficult to put into words what I witnessed next. The lights and stage were gold, yellow, and earthy, the music was soothing yet bizarre, and this clown sat on a bed while accosted by all kinds of characters. They all started running by him on either side of the bed. Clowns prodded him, small men and women with sculpted bodies spun his bed around, and beautiful angle-wing laden women in tights clinging to elaborate and ornate chandeliers floated above him.

The whole thing truly felt like some kind of mildly disturbing dream. And not just watching the dream, but actually experiencing the darn thing. The 'scenes' were rotated through strange and compelling theatrics and absolutely jaw-dropping acrobatics.

The performers started bouncing on three different beds, flipping over each other, onto other beds and actually dribbling each other, all the while the stage rotated at a stately pace. They bounced around the stage like super balls ricocheting around a metal room. Then the ornate chandeliers that hung over the bed which had beautiful women hanging from them began to swing. The woman swung themselves around the entire place, all the while writhing and climbing among the chandelier lights and chains.

It seemed like the show's wardrobe was 18th century French or Italian, with men's ballooning pants at the thighs, and capes and sharp collars, as they acted out some of the plot. But interjected in the plot were amazing physical feats. For instance, there was
a scene where both men and women
held onto man-sized sturdy hula-hoops that they spun around in while hanging on. They looked like they were just tossed onto the spinning circular stage out of the pocket of some benevolent giant.

From the roof came a steady air raid of angles that hung on to wires and floated around the set handing various props to the actors.

The second half was even more stunning than the first. It opened with some of the performers bouncing along a skinny, long trampoline that cut through the diameter of the stage. And then the trapeze act started above. Never a mistake, never a slip, just crazy body flinging at its finest.

It's funny because I recently heard Howard Stern (the radio jock) try to get one of his regular listeners to do a stunt for his Sirius Satellite radio show. He wants Eric the Midget to "fly with balloons" by strapping him into something that would allow him to float from a bunch of balloons in Stern's studio. The whole thing is hilarious since Eric is ornery and stubborn and won't agree to it. Howard tries to continuously talk Eric into doing it, ostensibly a great idea that will launch Eric into stardom, really a thinly-veiled attempt at a desire for some good radio.

But Cirque Du Soleil's Corteo beat Howard Stern to the punch. A little person flew, and it was magnificent, but it wasn't on the Howard Stern show.

It was one of the most memorable scenes of the second half, and my favorite. It was a little person floating by balloons. Her name was Valentina, and her size was probably about three feet tall. The kooky Cirque people strapped Valentina into a little harness that was attached to five or six large, helium-filled balloons. I am not kidding. A teeny, tiny three-foot-tall woman named Valentina was floated around the inside of the big top by a bushel of weather balloons.

What's more, she actually drifted over us, the audience, and would eventually descend onto the frenzied crowd. The clown on the stage instructed us to hold two hands up like a platform as Valentina came down out of the air. She would proceed to push off the pair of hands, squealing away like an exuberant pixie.

The stunts in the second half were amazing. A man climbed up and down a ladder that was not leaning against anything. A woman traversed a high wire on her tip toes like a ballerina, then proceeded to climb up another high wire that was at a 45 degree angle! And more gymnasts performed intricate, synchronized parallel bar feats.

The show ended with the whole crew out on the stage, the clowns, the gymnasts, the actors, Valentina, everyone. They all waved goodbye to the star clown who was flying up into the rafters, pedaling a bike that was suspended fifty feet in the air, and drifted away to heaven.

Throughout the show I looked over at the friends I was with and invariably saw lots of smiles. I was thoroughly entranced the entire time, and I would absolutely recommend Cirque's Corteo to anyone, from eight to eighty years old. It was a great experience and I think it would be a great place to bring your kids, or a date.

Gas prices continue to increase, with no end in sight. This trend further accentuates the need for every human to purchase more fuel efficient cars. Having an automobile with good fuel economy is not only helpful in saving money, but it is also an integral part of repairing the environment.

The official definition of fuel economy is how much gas is needed to move a certain distance. In the United States, fuel economy is measured in miles per gallon, while in the rest of the world, it is mostly calculated in liters per one hundred kilometers. These measuring systems vary greatly; a higher number in the US system is optimal, while a lower number is desired in the metric system (the lower the number, the lower the amount of fuel needed to travel one hundred kilometers).

Governments are taking notice of the importance of fuel economy, and are establishing guidelines which will regulate efficiency in the future. The European Union has decided that, starting in 2012, gasoline cars must have at least a 47mpg rating, and diesel cars must have at least a 52mpg rating. The United States currently taxes vehicles that do not adhere to environmental standards, as a means of discouraging their production. These taxes and penalties are expected to increase drastically within the next few years.

Engineers are constantly working to find ways to increase the fuel efficiency of vehicles. Several factors affect fuel economy, so it is a matter of altering those factors to produce better efficiency. The weight of a car is one of the biggest factors in fuel economy, so
engineers are always trying to make cars lighter.

This can be done through replacing traditional materials, such as iron, with alternative options like carbon fiber. Wind resistance and drag require cars to exert energy to overcome them, so vehicles that are designed to experience these factors minimally have better fuel economies. Anything that can increase or save energy is beneficial. For example, shutting off the engine while the car is stopped saves energy.

Improving the efficiency of engine combustion is a key factor. Most engines only exploit 10-20% of the energy released from burning fuel; the rest is lost to heat and other forms of energy. Fuel cells are so desirable because up to 80% of their produced energy can be directly utilized. Different types of combustion, such as lean burn and HCCI combustion are being tested to identify what method is most efficient.

Average consumers can play their part in increasing the fuel economy of their vehicles. Fuel efficiency increasing products are popular in the market right now, but most of them do not actually improve efficiency at all. Simple things, like keeping the air pressure in tires high, and slowly accelerating and decelerating, can expand a vehicle's rating a fair degree.

Hybrid cars are the best option currently for those who want speed and great fuel economy. These models combine electrical and gasoline engine components to create something which does not feel like an electric car at all. Hybrid vehicles recapture wasted energy during breaking, shut off gasoline power during idle periods, and utilize gas and electric power simultaneously to reduce the total amount of fuel consumed. All of these factors combined result in fuel ratings of over 50mpg, as well as lower emissions.

Do you periodically have to dust your computer's fan and screen? Do you stay on top of projects like this or is the dust sometimes so thick that you could write your name in it? Isn't all that dust doing damaging things to the PC's components? It would be very beneficial to protect your computer as much as humanly possible. I notice that our computer keyboard is almost shot because we did not keep it spic and span clean and now some of the more insignificant keys are beginning to stick.

In order to protect very valuable investments such as computers and cabinets for CocaCola, Cargill, Proctor & Gamble, Frito Lay, Ocean Spray, Caterpillar, AAB and Georgia Pacific, they use a practical yet durable protection system which is able to extend the life of the computers and the LCD monitors. Costly downtime is reduced which offers a cost effective alternative to various industrial computers.

You will more than likely be able to find some sites on the Internet today that have developed the right solution for harsh industrial environments such as shop floors, factories, which can be awfully dirty and grimy, and other outside locations. Some of these unique computer enclosure designs do wonders at keeping computer and LCD hardware totally secure from dust, dirt, heat, water, oil and other damaging elements.

You will find that a host of other companies offer standard computer enclosures, computer security cabinet enclosures, pc enclosures, Nema computer enclosures and
other computer enclosures. They are
able to prevent the oil, dust and other abrasive airborne contaminants that one can readily find in most workplaces. These computer enclosures are reliable, effective and they do not require much additional space. These computer enclosures were designed with the user in mind. He or she will always have easy access to their protected PC.

Since 1985, a company has been designing and building the most durable computer, electronic and network enclosures that you can find today. This company has made it their business of protecting the technological investments of other companies so that they will be able to realize the maximum life of their equipment.

Their enclosures will work perfectly for any environment where dirt, dust and exposure to liquids or corrosives may threaten the performance of a company's equipment. All of the items are assembled in-house, so if there is a need to have a custom item, then it is ready to be built as soon as you give us a call. Mainly for convenience, most products are shipped fully assembled.

All you have to do is let your fingers do the walking along the pages of the Internet to see which deal is the very best for you. Some websites offer a variety of aluminum cases at prices that are no less than factory direct. You can also find watertight cases as well as crush and dust proof cases.

If you want a cool aluminum computer enclosure, then just keep on browsing down the Information Highway. You may also run into a company that manufactures high quality steel cases as well as power supplies. This choice is very popular among many case modifiers and PC hobbyists.

Are you launching a new website? There is no better time to think about search engine optimization than prior to launching a new site. By giving consideration to your on-page optimization factors, you can increase your chances of achieving top organic search results.

To prepare your site for easy indexing, be sure to follow these basis guidelines:

1. Design your site in html or similar format that minimizes the use of java script and flash. The more complex you make your code, the more difficult it becomes for the search engine spiders to read your content and prescribe the appropriate Google PR to your web page.

2. Make sure that your meta tags are coded properly and include the Robots.txt tag. Many individuals downplay the importance of meta tags. Although meta tags themselves will not drastically change the organic ranking of your site, they do create the display text users will see when your site appears in search results. If your meta tags are search engine optimized and compelling, you increase the changes of improving click-throughs.

3. Apply the proper tags to your page. H1, H2, and H3 tags are a great wall to call attention to your content and promote your keywords and keyword phrases. Try to use each tag at least once, but don't force the issues. You want your text to flow and appear normal.

In addition to ensuring that you've made your page easy to access and presented text that is optimized, you also want to consider other factors that can help long-term with your SEO efforts. So often, web designers get caught up with on page factors, that they
overlook the requirements for establishing a foundation that supports long-term
initiatives.

In particular, consider adding pages that you can add to over time that support link building and accessibility for search engine spiders. Be sure to include:

1. An html sitemap and an xml sitemap. Including a sitemap on you site makes it easy for search engines to access all of your website pages and index your site accordingly. Your sitemap should be in both html as well as xml. Although users would not access the xml sitemap, search engine spiders use this version to crawl websites. Additionally, key search engine submission resources like Google's Webmasters Tools require xml site map versions.

2. Include a partners page. Previously referred to as a links page, the partners page is essential for reciprocal linking. This strategy is not as powerful as developing one-way links, but until your site has been assigned a Google PR, one-way links can be difficult to acquire. So begin your link exchange program with a partners page that allows you add or remove link quickly and easily.

3. Submission pages that encourage new content. One of the most powerful seo techniques is the addition of new content. Make it easy for your users to add or submit content to your website. When search engines see new content, they rejoice. Do not underestimate how important it is to make it simple for your browsers to add or submit content.

When focusing on search engine optimization, especially with a new website, follow the basic ideas outlined above. There are a number of other factors to consider as well. However, you should always start with a strong foundation - a site design that meets basic SEO standards but one that also supports your long range search engine optimization goals.

Adsense is probably one of the quickest and most powerful roots to website profits with the easy implementation of a simple snippet of code. If used properly it can generate a great passive income for any site. But that's the crux if you're not placing the right Adsense code in the right style and in the right position on your pages then you're actually loosing money.

Apart from the ease of implementation the results you can achieve are fast and they can also be surprising and exciting.

The first thing to do when considering Adsense is to research your keywords. Research your market if you're adding Adsense to an existing site or explore niche markets if this is a new site. Examine keywords and keyphrases from the market that get the most searches on the search engines. There are a number of sites and software tools that will allow you to do this some of them even giving you the click costs, essentially how much you will make per click on an ad.

Select say 10 keywords or keyphrases and then consider your site content or for best results create new content. Unique and keyword rich articles related to your site theme work well. Use your 10 keywords to choose an article theme and then create an article for each keyword. Aim to have around 3% keyword density for each article. Keyword density is the number of times your keyword appears in relation to the number of over all words in the article.

Be sure to make your article informative and grammatically correct. Badly written articles, focused on SEO only, will do you no favours and often turn visitors away and maybe pop up on the search engine radar, which could mean a slip in your site rankings. Think long term here. There is no reason that, once set up, your Adsense site wouldn't continue to bring in a passive growing income for years to come.

Once you have your articles build your site.

Now before you insert the ad code you should consider two things, the styling of the
ads and the positioning. The styling is possibly the most important. A badly styled ad in
the perfect position on your page will get a poorer click through rate than a well-styled ad in the same position.

The best click through rates, when it comes to styling, have been proven to come from removing the ad borders and setting the background colour to match your page background colour. Essentially blending the ads into the page and getting them to look like part of the page content. You should also have the colour of the links on your page match those of the ads.

Next consider the positioning of your ads. Place your ads where site visitors are most likely to click on them. Research shows that the top left of the page is the first spot to draw the eye and in turn get the most clicks. The new format 'Ad Links' work well here. The other hotspot is directly within the body of your content. The square formatted ads at the top right of your body copy work best here.

The correct styling and positioning of your ads is crucial for better click throughs and higher payouts.

You will get clicks on your ads almost no matter where you place them if you have enough site traffic. But styling and positioning them properly from the start can triple or more your click through rates.

Adsense has good tracking statistics that allow publishers to track their results across a number of sites on a site-by-site, page-by-page basis. You should make the most of this facility to learn which ads are performing the best and fine-tune them accordingly to improve your results.

Finally, you have the option to use image ads instead of text only. But, the average Net user is sophisticated enough now to ignore image based ads. They're now almost universally blocked subconciously by Net users as advertising. Stick to text ads only. Be sure this is set in your account you can do this in 'My Account'.

To really start making money with Adsense, you should have a definite focus on what you want to achieve and how you will go about achieving it. Set income goals day by day and work to increase your income by tweaking your pages and adding more keyword targeted content.

Consitently improving your site and introducing new content will see your Adsense profits grow.

important. A badly styled ad in the perfect position on your page will get a poorer click through rate than a well-styled ad in the same position.

The correct styling and positioning of your ads are crucial for better click throughs and higher payouts.

They're now almost universally blocked subconciouHarry Potter !sly by Net users as advertising. Stick to text ads only. Be sure this is set in your account.

Do you use Adsense to monetize any of your websites?

Do you use Adwords to buy in visitors to any of your websites?

Have you considered combining the two and sending Adwords traffic to your site featuring Adsense Ads?

There are huge profits currently being made
by enterprising site owners who are buying low cost keywords and sending the traffic to high paying Adsense ads.

Sounds simple doesn't it? It is and believe me it works.

The problem is it can be a real balancing act if you go about this the wrong way. You can loose serious money or just scrape a marginal profit.

First of all you need to find a niche market, stay clear of the Internet Marketing arena there's just too much competition there. Instead look into day to day niche markets. But before you do this you need to consider your target keyword. For best results you need a high bid keyword, that is a keyword that Adwords advertisers are willing to pay a lot for per click.

You can find these for free over on the Overture bid tool. Most bids displayed there are likely to amount to much more on Adwords. For a more accurate bid pricing you can use one of the numerous paid for services that have sprung up across the Net this year. These services analyse thousands of keywords, there bid price, the number of advertisers bidding, the number of searches for that keyword and some of the better services will even report the ad clicks you can expect per day.

One of the better paid for services I came across you can find here www.cashkeywords.com (non affiliate link). They run a list which is constantly being updated and added to. So you will always have a regular fresh source of keywords to target. Currently they stand at around 133,000 keywords.

Next you need to set up a page focused on your chosen keyword. You could buy a domain name for this or simply add the page to one of your existing sites. Grab some free content focused on your chosen keyword in the form of an article from any of the major article directories(www.ezinearticle.com) and add it to your page.

You should also be sure to title the page with your chosen keyword. Adding a related graphic will also help. What you're trying to do here is instil a little confidence in the
visitor and avoid having your page look like one of those spammy Adsense sites that
crop up all over the place. Visitors will simply click away if you don't put a little effort into your page. You will still get some clicks but you can get so many more with a little effort.

Next place your Adsense ads in a number of spots on the page. You will need to test this to see which positions perform best. The prime spot according to Google is directly within the content of the page. Beyond that a good starting point would be across the top, the bottom and down the left side of your content. Essentially where the navigation appears traditionally.

Once you've got this set up start work on your Adwords campaign. Create your own list of targeted keywords, obviously I'd recommend PPC Accelerator for that. ;) Now here you don't need to worry about using high paying keywords in your own list because you will be setting your daily budget at just 5-10c. This will guarantee you don't appear on the first page for those high paying keywords. Instead you are focusing here on related keywords that you can pick up cheaply. Refer back to the issue on keyword list building for keyword avenues you can explore.

Before you run your campaign go into 'Edit settings' and uncheck all the boxes under 'Network' except Google search. This will ensure your ad appears only on Google itself, with the most proactive visitors. If this turns out to be a money making campaign you can go back into 'Edit settings' and switch those options back on.

Finally set your daily budget low and run your campaign.

As you are probably aware neither Adwords or Adsense report stats in real-time so you will have to sit back for an hour or so before any results come in. Be sure to monitor this campaign regularly to weigh up whether your income from Adsense is covering your outgoings on Adwords.

As with any campaign there are a number of factors to take into account when it comes to click through rate. Chief among these I've found to be the day and the time of day. Some campaigns work better during the week during office hours others bring better results at the weekend.

If you're making a small profit then it may be worth tweaking your set up. If your profit is on a tightrope or you're loosing money then it may be better to move on to a different keyword.

Once you have a winning campaign start again, find another high paying keyword etc. etc.

That's it, if you take action now you'll be in for a nice bonus come January. I'm sure that will help you to recover from the Xmas splurge. :)

Congratulations! You have the professional Real Estate web presence you have always wanted. Now that your business is online, Pay Per Click Advertising is the best possible online tool to let the world and your real estate clients know about your new real estate website.

If you're not familiar with Pay Per Click marketing, you're in for a treat. When people search for products or services online, they search by using keywords or keyword phrases. If you were to do a search on Google for "real estate" or "homes for sale", you will see that the top spots in the search results are occupied by large nationwide real estate companies or companies that provide real estate services of some sort. These companies spend tens of thousands of dollars every month to maintain their high page rank in the search results. At first glance, you might be saying to yourself, yikes, how can my real estate website compete with that? Here's the good news. You don't have to! Pay Per Click Advertising can put your ad right along side the big boys. The answer is simple. You don't want your ad for your real estate website to come up in the search results for "real estate". That's too broad. You need to be more specific. For example, you want your ad to be shown when someone searches "real estate in Glens Falls" or "homes for sale in Glens Falls" or "real estate listings in Glens Falls". If you're a Realtor in Glens Falls, that's where you're potential customers are looking. Your customers won't type in "real estate" when they do their search. They will type in "real estate in Glens
Falls". The "natural" search results listings will most likely be dominated by the big
companies, but guess what? Glance over to the right and you can see your ad for your real estate website right along side the big boys.

Why is Pay Per Click Advertising Important for My Real Estate Website? If you're a Realtor, having a professional Real Estate web presence will be an essential part of your business. However, just having a website will not guarantee success. You need to market your website. If your clients don't know you're there, you may as well have a lemonade stand in the middle of the desert. You might have the best lemonade in the world, but, if no one can find you, you're not going to sell much lemonade.

Pay Per Click Advertising is the fastest, most cost effective way for you to start marketing your website. In real estate, one good listing, or, buyer can turn into thousands in commissions. Your website being seen is important, but being seen by the right people is even more important. Grab a piece of paper and jot down some of the keyword search terms a client in your area might use to search online for your real estate services. You might find putting together a list of fifteen or twenty keywords takes no time at all. If just five people in your area search each of your ten to fifteen keywords every day, that's fifty to seventy five potential clients that won't see your website. That's every day! Type one of your keyword search terms into Google, chances are, you will see some of your competitors websites listed.

Would you like to see your Pay Per Click ad, for your real estate website right next to the results for your competitor's websites? Real Estate is a competitive business. You should be competing for those leads. That's why Pay Per Click advertising is important for your real estate website.

It's going on right now.

The biggest Xmas spend online ever.

It stands to reason that each year more and more people get online. More of the people online begin using their credit cards to shop online and more of these shoppers realise the great convenience that shopping online offers. So they start to spend more on a wider variety of products and / or services.

So when Xmas comes around it makes more sense than ever to do the shopping online from the comfort of their home. They avoid the crowds, the traffic, stay in the warm, comparison shop, read online reviews and then get exactly what they want and get it cheaper too.

You can tap into this huge spending surge right now by utilizing Google Adwords and Affiliate schemes.

Things have changed at Google HQ when it comes to Adwords you can no longer link directly to an affiliate site.

You may now wonder how you can make any money with Adwords and affiliate schemes.

As it goes the change in policy at Adwords had zero effect on the most profitable affiliate promoters. In fact for the smart ones and even the not so smart ones it actually increased their profits!

How? well it's simple.

The smart affiliates didn't send their prospects directly to an affiliate site anyway. Instead they constructed their own site on which they presold the product or service they were promoting. By presell I mean they softly emphasised the benefits of the product, showed mouth-watering pictures, made comparisons to other similar products
to emphasise the benefits of the product they were promoting. In essence they wrote a
favourable, and what appeared to be an unbiased review.

You can do exactly the same. You don't need a full site just a single landing page will do. You could even have a page for each affiliate product you're promoting on the back of one of your existing sites.

The single biggest thing to keep in mind when you do this is that you must not go for the hard sell. Try to be unbiased and if there are bad points to the product you're promoting via Adwords be sure to mention them.

In fact I'd go so far as to say, make sure you list something you're not happy with.

I know that sounds nuts but it will give your review much more credibility than if you gushed overly enthusiastically about how great this product is.

Mention a bad point or a minor irritation but then be sure to follow with a major good point or qualify why exactly you didn't like this one feature.

What should you promote?

You need something either with a good conversion or a high commission. Preferably both. You also need to find low cost keywords and lots of them if possible. That goes for anything you promote really.

Consider what people will be buying this Xmas. What has the largest price tag but is still in high demand?

Ideally stay away from the obvious e.g. ipods, Xbox's etc there will be too much competition and so to high a click cost.

In conclusion the method of promotion mentioned above has served many people well and in fact resulted in, believe it or not, an annual six figure income for more than one lucky affiliate marketer.

Get your Adwords Xmas campaigns running now. Each day you hold of on starting your Xmas Adwords campaigns you loose money.

LifeQuote Is About Life. Better Health Means Lower Insurance Rates.

If you ended up on this page you're probably nervous about your health and how it can affect your insurance rates. Well, you're right. Your health is key in how much you'll pay for Life Insurance.

Life Insurance Facts

  • Cigarette smokers pay at least double the premium for life insurance than non-smokers.
  • People who are overweight, have high blood pressure or high cholesterol could pay more for life insurance.
  • A family history of heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes or other chronic diseases will make your insurance rates increase.
  • Having chronic diseases yourself can increase your Life Insurance Premiums.

Life Insurance companies classify people by different categories that essentially determine their risk of dying. The best category and lowest price is "Super Preferred", followed by "Preferred." Prices keep rising with "Standard" and "Special Class". To be honest, only the healthiest people in America are rated Super Preferred. The average person will qualify for a standard rate. The classifications vary from company to company, which is why it´s a good idea to shop around.

Life Insurance Example:

Male, 45 years old, $500,000 of 20-year term:
Average for a preferred non-smoker: $912.50
Average for a preferred smoker: $2,347.75

The point is you do have control over lifestyle choices that can hurt your health. You should take a proactive approach and work at staying healthy, at the gym and at the doctors' office. Insurance companies will reward you for it!

Do You Need Life Insurance?

Some people mistakenly believe that buying life insurance-- that is, planning for their death - is bad luck and will bring misfortune to their lives. Those feelings of denial bring about inaction and results in leaving many people in this country uninsured.

The fact is that life insurance is not about death, it's really about life and enjoying the peace of mind that term life insurance protection can bring. For the typical male head of a household, those who depend on your paycheck: your spouse, children and quite possibly, your parents, the loss of your income can have a dramatic effect on their way of life. If you die prematurely, term life insurance can provide ongoing income to your dependents, until they are able to live comfortably without it. It can also provide emergency support for legal, medical and funeral costs, should family savings not be sufficient to cover them.

Who needs life insurance?

The purpose of life insurance is to cover any unexpected costs that a family unit cannot afford or that would put the family's financial situation in peril.

If you're the sole breadwinner for a large family, with little savings, then term life insurance is essential. Once basic items such as shelter and food are covered, life insurance should be next on your list of priorities.

What would be the immediate impact on your family should you not be there to support them tomorrow? Are they counting on your paycheck in the years ahead to cover basic needs and future savings goals? Could they afford the funeral costs? Who would pay the home mortgage? Would your family be able to survive economically without you?

If you fit this profile and don't have life insurance, you might want to consider it and perhaps discuss it with your family.

Which plan should you get?

In general, there are two basic classes of insurance to choose from: term life insurance and cash value insurance.

Term life insurance is just that -- life insurance that you purchase for a specific period of time-from 5-years up to 20-years. Recently, twenty-five and thirty year level guaranteed premium term life insurance policies have been appearing in the industry from top-rated life insurance companies. These longer level premium policies enable you to get long-term guarantees without paying the higher premiums of permanent policies, whole life or universal. The premium payments are applied 100% to the cost of the insurance. It's best to get as much information as possible to help you decide what is right for you. Life Insurance Resources

The advantages of term insurance

Simple Term life insurance, much like car insurance, is the essence of simplicity - as long as you pay the premium, you are covered for the term or length of the policy.

Competitive prices
Prices have been steadily decreasing on term life policies and it can easily be compared on the basis of price alone. Often, the largest and most prestigious life insurance companies with the household names you know, offer some of the most competitive term life rates.
Top Rated Life Insurance Companies

Flexible
Most term policies are very flexible, allowing for both renewable (you can renew for another term policy without a medical exam and convertible terms (convert your term policy into a universal policy).

How much coverage?

If you have finally decided to get insurance another important issue is to figure out how much insurance you need and for how long. The easiest way to approach this is to ask yourself: if you're the primary caregiver to dependents, what will it cost to replace you with a paid provider, and for how long?

The most basic way to calculate your insurance needs is to replace your annual income until you retire. Start with your current annual before-tax salary, and estimate how many years left until retirement. Here is a great tool to help you figure it out, our online life insurance calculator,

Do you need professional advice?

It used to be that you had to rely on the advice of an insurance agent (passed down from generation to generation) to buy life insurance but the 21 st century has changed all that. Now you can do your own research online and learn about the type of insurance that is right for you and your family. When it comes to purchasing simple, straightforward term life insurance, most educated consumers can choose for themselves and will probably end up paying less in the long run. But if you think you have more complex financial issues, you should invest the time to discuss your needs with a certified financial planner.

You might drive like a saint, but can you guarantee that the person you are buying the part worn tyres off have not hit every kerb and been speed testing on the local car park gravel? How do you know if you will be safe? How do you know what you are getting, will the part worn tyre be safe at high speed or in the wet?

Here are some tried and tested guidelines to help you make a decision. Your safety, that of your passengers and other road users is the most important thing for you to consider.

Firstly, you must consider why you are thinking of buying used tyres.Have you heard of aquaplaning? Well its all physics in the end, tyres are your only contact with the road, you are not Fred Flintstone! Without good grip, your brakes and your steering will be seriously compromised and at a particular speed in the wet you could loose control.

The more tread you have the better. The sipes are designed to clear water from the road surface so that the tyre can make contact with the road. The deeper the tread, the more water can be cleared from the road, meaning the less likely you are to find yourself aqua planing.

Aquaplanning happens when a level of water builds up between the road surface and the tire and causes your brakes and steering to stop working. If this happens, ABS (anti brake system) and electronics will be of no help to you. Gravity and cause and affect, i.e. force and friction will have taken over. It really is down to science! Have you ever seen a skipping stone? It does not stop very quick.

You will find with a part worn tyre, the tread will not be as deep as on a new tyre, meaning much leass grip in nasty wet conditions. The legal limit is in fact very low, a few mm and should be seen as an absolute minimum rather than the point at which a tyre should be changed. All tyres have wear indicators that are little raised areas between the sipes. If you can see them, then the tyre manufacturer is trying to tell you they are
past their safety level, steer clear of
them. please!

Sometimes, tyres that have been damaged, the tyre will actually literally come apart. The tread parts company with the carcass of the tyre. Ask Top Gear star Richard Hammond what happens when the tyre laminates blew up! It caused him to crash that jet-powered car. Almost killed him. have you ever seen a truck tyre come apart? Not very nice!

A tyre should be changed every 20k to 25k miles and definetely every couple of years. Remember everytime you push the mileage beyond the limits you are endagering the public and yourself. Do not be so tight with your budget!

A major component of a tyre is the carcass. This is made up of a entwined weave of steel wires and fabric bonded to rubber casing. The rubber compound that then goes to make the tread is wound around the carcass before being placed into a mould where pressure and heat imprint the tread, all very technical but designed to provide a very strong tyre.

Always check the carcass as it is surprisingly easy to damage (kerbs, punctures etc.) Look for obvious signs such as areas where the tread is uneven or lifted, bubbles (especially), unusual wear all around the tyre.

You can often see damage better by removing the tyre and looking inside. This is only possible if it is not mounted on the rim of the wheel. Take the sides of the tyre and pull them apart you can then see the inside, quite easily. There should be no granules, rubber or tacks inside, you shuld find the pattern inside uniform. Still holding the sidewalls apart, press the tread of the tyre down onto a step or other (not sharp!) corner. Rotate the tyre, it may make you dizzy but its important to look for any damage.

Do you know what a bead is? It is the part which joins the inner rim of the wheel, make sure you check it for wear and tear. Finally check the general condition of the compound, sometimes the rubber appears to be broken up or the sidewalls badly marked, please steer clear of such a part worn tyre.

Part worn tyres in my opinion are dangerous, my question to you is would you let your loved ones buy one?

Automobile fuel economy, gas saving devices, tips to save gas, and even free gas is on the minds of people today. Why? Gas prices are at historic highs, and people are reeling from the pain. What can we do? Drive our cars using water as fuel, or at least partially.

Years ago it was discovered that that you can make cars run on both water and gasoline. This is accomplished through a process called electrolysis. This is where water is converted into hydroxy also known as browns gas or HHO gas. Using the HHO gas you can expect to see an increase in gas mileage of 20% - 50% and with more tweaking up to 100%! This is due to the fact that the small hydrogen atoms ram into the over sized droplets of gas; thus breaking them down and making them burn more efficient. Did you know that the engines in most of our cars are so inefficient that we only use 20% of the gas? Yeah 80% of the gas is wasted and thrown into the air to make good old pollution. Now you know why we have catalytic converters!

This is something that I have implemented and swear by. I have a 1990 Lexus LS 400. It has a V8 and demands Premium gas. My car used to knock (on regular), and the exhaust smelled very bad. For a V8 it didn't do too bad 18.5 city 23.5 HWY. But now it is
in the high 20's city and pushing 30
HWY. But that’s not all, you get more power, less or no pinging, and no more bad smell out of the tail pipe! What I will do in the near future is take my car to a smog station and do a comparison, a before and after. What I want to see is just how much better the emissions are. With that much-reduced smell there has to be an improvement. I did talk to the place that does my smog testing and they are cool with it. I might make a video of it.

I’m very excited about this. I have spent loads of time researching this subject, and have, what I believe to be the most detailed review of these programs. Each of the programs offers something different. Water 4 Gas for example offers great bonuses. One of them includes the plans to make a car that runs totally on hydroxy or HHO. On my review site I have various videos about people who have done just that. I guess that I will just tinker around and see what I can do to improve what I already have done. Trust me once you start it you will get the bug and start to make your own Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

So then, are you sick and tired of being gouged at the pump? Would you like to have a cleaner running engine? Would you like to have more power with less pinging? Would you like to make far less pollution in the process? And would you like to have fun like me and build your own water-powered vehicle?

Daphne Hayden, DNS News Anchor, interviews Dan Ronco in 2012 regarding Unholy Domain, his visionary novel. Ms. Hayden appears as herself in both PeaceMaker and Unholy Domain.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: I've found your biography online at Dan Ronco, and I know you have not one, but three degrees: Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering and Computer Science. Why so many?

DAN RONCO: It's my nature. I'm never satisfied, always looking for the next challenge. My career has been like that, too. First I designed nuclear reactors, next I became a Partner in a huge accounting and IT consulting firm, then President of a small software company and finally a General Manager with Microsoft.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: So how did you go from technology guru to writing a novel?

DAN RONCO: After more than two decades in the IT business, I felt that it was time to do something else. Although I loved working at Microsoft, 70 hour weeks and heavy travel take a toll. Besides, I had been thinking about writing a novel for years, but hadn't made much progress. It was time to choose. So I left my job and concentrated on writing.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: You're much better looking in person. Trash that photo on the cover of Unholy Domain.

DAN RONCO: Well, I was trying to look author-ish. Guess it didn't work.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: In your first novel, set in 2012, PeaceMaker a Windows-like operating system is infected with an intelligent virus, leading to a shutdown of computers across the globe. With Windows computers so widely used, could this really happen?

DAN RONCO: Software terrorism is already a threat, and it will grow over time. Every time a new virus attacks Windows, someone has to detect and report the problem, programmers have to develop and distribute a fix, and millions of users have to apply the fix. A relatively slow process, but it works as long as the virus isn't too destructive, doesn't spread too fast (or secretly) and doesn't evolve too rapidly (the fix won't work if the virus can change tactics). In PeaceMaker, I envisioned a fictional virus attack that exceeded these parameters. At some point within the next decade, a terrorist may be capable of launching such a sophisticated attack.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: PeaceMaker and Unholy Domain have been touted as the first two books of an anti-technology trilogy. Is that true? What are the books about?

DAN RONCO: My stories dramatize the question: how much technology is too much? The first novel, as you know, illustrates the consequences of a runaway, lethal computer virus. My new novel, Unholy Domain, set in 2022, considers the meaning of being human as artificial intelligence begins to approach human intelligence. It takes a hard look at what I believe will be accelerating conflict between science and religion. The last book of the trilogy, set in 2025 and tentatively titled Tomorrow's Children, considers the risks and benefits of genetic engineering.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: You didn't really answer my question. Don't your books warn against the continuing growth of technology?

DAN RONCO: It's clear to me that the exponential growth in technology over the next two, three decades will bring incredible change to our society, possibly beyond our ability to cope. Whether that's anti-technology, well, I'll leave it for the reader to decide.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: Scientists and the clergy are already in conflict over issues such as evolution, homosexuality and abortion. You believe it will get worse?

DAN RONCO: Without a doubt.
Consider a few emerging issues. Should we enhance capabilities such as intelligence, athletic ability, beauty or health through gene manipulation or artificial components? If so, who gets the enhancements? Should human cloning be permitted? Should an intelligent robot have the same rights as a human? Does God care if we evolve into a new species? Should we allow artificial intelligence to approach and possibly surpass human intelligence? These issues will shake the foundation of organized religion as never before.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: I see what you mean. Complex issues, no easy solutions. Must the novels be read in chronological sequence? Do you have to be an engineer to understand the technology in the novels?

DAN RONCO: First and foremost, I wrote the novels to entertain a reader who enjoys thrillers or science fiction. If you can use a computer, you will have no problem with the technology in my stories. Although the novels are all consistent with each other, each is a self-contained story. You can read them in any sequence, so just start with the one that most appeals to you.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: How long did it take to write your novels?

DAN RONCO: Including research, I have been working on the trilogy for about eight years. Not full-time, but I try to write three to four hours per day on average. Tomorrow's Children will be complete in a few months, so I have dedicated a big chunk of my life to this work.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: What lessons have you learned as a writer, and what changes would you make if you could start over?

DAN RONCO: When I started, I had no idea how difficult it is to write well. I thought that once you had the concept for the story, the words would just tumble out of your mind onto the page. Man, was I wrong. Every word in your story must have a reason to be present, and it must convey the right shade of meaning. Extremely difficult, but what a feeling of satisfaction when you get it right.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: The women in your novels are highly unusual to say the least.

DAN RONCO: I knew we were going to get into this.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: Don't get alarmed, I think it's a good thing. Your female characters are beautiful, smart, tough and physically strong. I particularly like Darlene Duboski, DoubleD as you call her. How did you come up with this amazing woman?

DAN RONCO: DoubleD isn't really that unusual, if you think about it. She’s the culmination of a long-term evolution. Today's females are bigger and more athletic than previous generations. Go to any workout facility and what do you see? Plenty of women. And not just doing aerobics, either. Pumping iron, pushups, building their strength against all manner of exercise machines. They're dropping baby fat and showing off lean, hard muscles. Not that they are becoming bodybuilders (although some do), but they are not the women of your mother's generation either.

Drive around town and you'll certainly come across a jogger. What's the gender most of the time? And she's probably setting a fast pace, too.

Muscles are no longer solely a masculine domain. Check out the ladies playing basketball or tennis, let alone the boxers. Not a wimp in the bunch. Title IX has opened the door for women to excel at sports, and they are succeeding. You want to see Serena Williams or Mary Pierce getting ready to serve a cannonball at you? I don't. That doesn't mean today's women aren't as beautiful or sexy as previous generations. I think they look better, actually, with their lean, athletic figures.

DoubleD — and many of my female characters — are based upon this new model of femininity. They are just as tough and smart as the men, and they don't take a backseat to anyone. Damn sexy, too.

DAPHNE HAYDEN: Kudos to you! I couldn't agree more.

Among writers, there are often arguments about writer's block and whether it even exists. However, all writers will experience it at some stage. Here's how to handle it.

Writer's block manifests itself on a continuum which ranges from mild resistance to writing at one end, to the complete inability to even think about writing at the other end.

If you're experiencing resistance to writing, it's the mild form of writer's block. It often happens when you're missing a step in the writing process. For example, you may not know enough about a subject to be able to write about it with authority. Do more research, and you'll become enthusiastic and your block vanishes.

At the extreme of the continuum, when you're completely unable to write, it's because your life has changed in a fundamental way and you're highly stressed. You need to accommodate the changes, and get yourself mentally healthy enough so that you can write. With this debilitating form of writer's block, therapy can help, because such a block is often part of depression.

We can't deal with extreme writer's block in a short article, but there's a method to manage milder forms of writer's block.

Writing Resistance - Managing your Writer's Block

If you're not writing, it's important that you don't try to confront your resistance head-on. Chances are you've tried that, and the more you try to write, the more you sit staring at the computer screen wondering what's wrong with you.

Here's a four step process which I've used, and have recommended to other writers. It's worked for us, and it should work for you.

1. Don't Write at All for a Week

The first step is acceptance. Just
accept that at the moment, you can't write, and give yourself a break from writing for a week. Put off deadlines. Write email messages, but let all your other writing go.

Think of your writer's block as a form of writing flu. You're sick, but you're healing, and you'll feel better in a week.

2. Go on a Trip, Take Your Pen

The old saying, "a change is as good as a rest" is true. On the weekend, take a trip. It can be a short trip, but go somewhere you've been meaning to go. If possible, go alone. Take a camera, and a notebook. You don't have to write, but take some pictures.

3. Accept Your Fear

During this self-imposed writing drought, you'll experience many emotions: fear, guilt, anger, and apathy. Although they're unpleasant, these emotions are good for you - they're a sign that you're releasing your resistance. So don't resist the negative emotions: allow yourself to feel them. Breathe deeply, and the surges of emotion will pass.

4. Get out of Your Head and Into Your Body

Emotions arise in your body, and trigger thoughts. Try to stay with the sensations in your body: the feeling of the emotion in your body - the tightness in your chest, the hollow pit in your stomach, the heaviness on your shoulders.

Take deep breaths, and allow the feelings to pass - don't get caught up in your thoughts about the feelings.

When you begin to experience the surges of emotion in your body, your writer's block is almost over. These surges are what you've been repressing: they form your writer's block. There's no way to release them except by feeling them fully, and letting them go.

At some time during the week, after the strong emotions subside, you'll feel like writing again - you've recovered from the writing disease.

Signs of cocaine addiction include: change in appitite, mood, and sleep cycles, absence at work and home, depression, running/ sniffly nose, a drop in school grades and a new group of friends. Lack of interest in hobbys and other personal activities are also common signs of cocaine usage.

Teenagers may also have a sudden and frequent need for money, without a valid reason. Directly confronting the suspected cocaine user is the best plan of action. Cocaine addiction's should not go overlooked and should be treated ASAP.

Long term effects of cocaine abuse include: mood swings, restlessness, irritability, paranoia, possible auditory hallucinations and the number one long-term effect is the substance addiction itself.

The more the cocaine usage begins to control and affect a person's life, the more likely it is that she / he has a drug addiction problem. Drug abusers often try to hide their symptoms. However, there are a number of drug abuse warning signs you can look for like:

Making inappropriate remarks or talking incoherently.
Talking about drugs all the time.
Mood swings, Angry outbursts, Manic Behaviour etc.
Expressing feelings of depression and hopelesness.
Frequently selling posessions, borrowing money.
Stealing other people's belongings.

The drug addiction path begins with the act of taking drugs. Compulsive, seeking, drug craving, and the use of drugs persist even in the face of negative consequences ususally characterize drug addiction. It is much easier to stop and prevent drug addiction during the first stages of drug addiction, than when a person becomes compulsive drug addict.

Cocaine addiction is a very serious desease that affect all sorts of people from the society. Is does not only affect the poor and uneducated people.

It is a "curable" disease and there are many successful cases of people who were addictied to cocaine that no longer uses it.

The history of Cocaine:

Cocaine is a highly addictive central nervous system stimulant extracted from the leaves of the coca plant, Erythroxylon coca.
In its most common form, cocaine is a whitish crystalline powder that produces feelings of euphoria when ingested.

Now classified as a Schedule II drug, cocaine has legitimate medical uses as well as a long history of recreational abuse. Administered by a licensed physician, the drug can be used as a local anesthetic for certain eye and ear problems and in some kinds of surgery.

Cocaine is one of the oldest known psychoactive drugs. Coca leaves, the source of cocaine, were used by the Incas and other inhabitants of the Andean region of South America for thousands of years, both as a stimulant and to depress appetite and combat apoxia ( altitude sickness ).

Despite the long history of coca leaf use, it was not until the latter part of the nineteenth century that the active ingredient of the plant, cocaine hydrochloride, was first extracted from those leaves. The new drug soon became a common ingredient in patent medicines and other popular products (including the original formula for Coca-Cola). This widespread use quickly raised concerns about the drug's negative effects. In the early 1900s, several legislative steps were taken to address those concerns; the Harrison Act of 1914 banned the use of cocaine and other substances in non-prescription products. In the wake of those actions, cocaine use declined substantially.

The drug culture of the 1960s sparked renewed interest in cocaine. With the advent of crack in the 1980s, use of the drug had once again become a national problem. Cocaine use declined significantly during the early 1990s, but it remains a significant problem and is on the increase in certain geographic areas and among certain age groups.

Cocaine Addiction Causes and Symptoms:

As with other forms of addiction , cocaine abuse is the result of a complex combination of internal and external factors. Genetic predisposition, family history, and immediate environment can all affect a person's probability of becoming addicted.

As many as three to four million people are estimated to be chronic cocaine users. The 1997 National Household Survey on Drug Abuse reported an estimated 600,000 current crack users, showing no significant change since the late 1980s.

How Cocaine is used today:

The major routes of administration of cocaine are sniffing or snorting, injecting, and smoking (including free-base and crack cocaine). Snorting is the process of inhaling cocaine powder through the nose where it is absorbed into the bloodstream through the nasal tissues. Injecting is the act of using a needle to release the drug directly into the bloodstream. Smoking involves inhaling cocaine vapor or smoke into the lungs where absorption into the bloodstream is as rapid as by injection.

"Crack" is the street name given to cocaine that has been

processed from cocaine hydrochloride to a free base for smoking. Rather than requiring the more volatile method of processing cocaine using ether, crack cocaine is processed with ammonia or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water and heated to remove the hydrochloride, thus producing a form of cocaine that can be smoked. The term "crack" refers to the crackling sound heard when the mixture is smoked (heated), presumably from the sodium bicarbonate.

There is great risk whether cocaine is ingested by inhalation (snorting), injection, or smoking. It appears that compulsive cocaine use may develop even more rapidly if the substance is smoked rather than snorted. Smoking allows extremely high doses of cocaine to reach the brain very quickly and brings an intense and immediate high. The injecting drug user is at risk for transmitting or acquiring HIV infection/AIDS if needles or other injection equipment are shared.

Dangers of using cocaine

High doses of cocaine and/or prolonged use can trigger paranoia. Smoking crack cocaine can produce a particularly aggressive paranoid behavior in users. When addicted individuals stop using cocaine, they often become depressed. This also may lead to further cocaine use to alleviate depression. Prolonged cocaine snorting can result in ulceration of the mucous membrane of the nose and can damage the nasal septum enough to cause it to collapse. Cocaine-related deaths are often a result of cardiac arrest or seizures followed by respiratory arrest.

Added Danger of using Cocaine

When people mix cocaine and alcohol consumption, they are compounding the danger each drug poses and unknowingly forming a complex chemical experiment within their bodies. NIDA-funded researchers have found that the human liver combines cocaine and alcohol and manufactures a third substance, cocaethylene, that intensifies cocaine's euphoric effects, while possibly increasing the risk of sudden death.

Cocaine Addiction Treatment

There are various forms of cocaine addiction treatment available for people addicted to cocaine. Some cocain addiction treatments include:

Pharmacological treatments
Behavioral approaches
Alternative treatment
Accupuncture
EEG

Memory sticks were created first by Sony as the answer to the difficulties of the floppy disk. Picked up by SanDisk and a multitude of other software and computer orientated companies, the small sticks were seen as the next big thing to hit the market since buttered bread. However, as time has passed, the adoration of memory sticks has faded as the dangers they pose have been revealed. Still a popular choice for computer storage, consumers are beginning to realize the care that these small sticks require.

Since their creation, memory sticks have grown smaller physically, but more powerful virtually. With an expected cap of 32GB of storage capacity, memory sticks hold the potential to store a very large amount of very sensitive information in a package that is less than the size of a credit card. Add to that newer models that have the capability of running programs and applications automatically from the memory stick itself without the host computer having to have the software needed, and you have a recipe for a security disaster.

The memory sticks utilize flash memory and are similar in nature to their cousin, the flash drive. The difference is the capability of using and running applications directly from the stick. Flash drives can't handle the amount of RAM that would allow for such occurrences. Sticks can and do.

This would be great in the instance of vacationing with a friend and needing to have certain programs available. Since the host computer does not need to have the
application installed and it can run in a
full capacity mode from the stick, many find memory sticks appealing. As long as precautions are taken, the risk to security is minimal. However, many business and corporate offices employ memory sticks to back up databases.

The risk of loss of confidentiality is high when this is done even if the executive who backed up the database on the memory stick had full security clearance to do so. If he loses the stick, or forgets to erase it when he transfers the material, there is the chance that someone could obtain the vital information-perhaps a competitor-and use it for their own gain. At this point, the information is no longer private and the company has lost not only a memory stick, but client trust.

Before deciding that a memory stick is just what you need to complete your menagerie of the latest technological gadgets, consider what your intended use of them will be. If you have a few home movies or the last 30 years of your family in pictures that you would love to take to every family reunion, then they may be the answer to avoid packing 300 albums and 70 DVDs. If you are planning to use the memory sticks as backups to your company's databases or other sensitive material, consider the risks and remember that you, too, are capable of misplacing the tiny stick. When used properly, the memory stick can be your best friend and a great way to cut back on bulky boxes in your attic since you won't need all those albums. But if used to store high security information, then they may turn out to be your worst nightmare. As with all technological advances, weigh your options carefully and determine if you really need the power of the memory stick.

Flash memory can be programmed and reprogrammed as well as electronically erased. It is also a non-volatile form of computer memory and one of the most user friendly forms as well. Most people have seen this form of memory in the form of USB flash drives and in the memory cards used for game consoles.

Flash memory is rapidly replacing EEPROM (a byte programmable form of memory) whenever a large amount of solid state storage is needed. Add to the benefits of costs and the versatility of flash memory and it becomes the only memory of choice for some items. Items that make use of the advantages of flash memory include laptops, PDAs, digital cameras, audio players, and phones.

Non-volatile memory in computers is any memory that does not require a power source to retain information. Flash is non-volatile and you cannot lose your information unless you erase it or you hadn't saved it from a RAM form of memory if you pulled an application up to use on your laptop.

The durability of flash is also one of its most advantageous points. Flash memory can withstand a great deal of abuse before being beaten, including immersion in water when packaged as a memory card. This is to the delight of countless parents who are hit up for such devices on a regular basis. Intense pressure and extreme temperature changes also do not cause harm to memory cards. It takes more than a few degrees or being stepped on after being left carelessly in the floor to destroy flash memory tucked
behind the design of a memory card
for video games.

Flash is also very quickly erased when a user wants the space for something else. Its predecessor-EEPROM-only erases in small blocks at a time and at slow rates. Flash can be erased in a matter of seconds and reprogrammed just as quickly.

There are two types of flash memory-NOR and NAND. NOR allows for random access of any memory location through the uses of full address and data busses. NOR also has long write and erase times. NAND doesn't allow for random access, but is has faster write and erase times. NOR is a suitable replacement for older ROM chips as the files that it can hold don't have to be updated very often. NAND is best for use in memory cards, but is not suitable for use as replacements for ROM chips.

Flash does have limitations, though. One such limitation is that flash has a finite number of times that it can be rewritten and erased. The number for commercial flash drives is usually guaranteed for block 0 to be 100,000 times, but there are no guarantees for other blocks. The flash memory forms that are exempt from this are in the form of routers and thin clients. These are only programmed once or a few times at most, creating a void in the limitations seen by most flash memory sources.

Even with the finite number of times the flash drive can be rewritten and erased, it is still one of the most popular forms of computer memory and will probably remain so. The ease of transport and the ability to withstand rough treatment make it a form of computer memory that will withstand its limitations and continue to see a growth in usage.

How many times per week do you run your antivirus protection or anti-spyware or adware programs to ensure that your paranoia about having an infected machine is just that, paranoia? With so many problems in the computer infection world, one cannot really blame themselves for checking up on their system on a routine basis. However, do you ever really think about where all these programs come from because someone out there must be sending them out, they don't just appear through spontaneous generation. This makes one ponder the question as to who is sending these things?

There are thousands of spyware, adware, and Trojan horse programs that are running rampant throughout cyber space as you read this article. But if you really think about it, just as war might be considered good for the economy, these computer infestation programs are good for the economy. If you are not sure what I mean, just think about Spybot, Spyware Nuker, Adaware, and countless other detection and removal programs. This is a new sector of the economy that has only sprung up as a result of those programs that can take control of your computer.

Just as with the medical industry making billions of dollars per year on not finding cures for AIDS and cancer, because financially these cures would allow them to make less profits each. It seems like information technology companies do not want to rid the
world of all the infectious programs that can endanger your PC. The reason for this is
that they find profit in the misfortunes of others. The continual emergence of new Trojan or adware makes it necessary for people to spend money for protection. If this sounds familiar that is because it is the same philosophy employed by organized crime. You pay them for protection but they are not going to do anything to ultimately cure each case but just get more money from you after something happens and tell you that it is not going to happen.

In short, Spyware is good for the economy because it allows for more money to be reinvested into the market through purchasing new and updated protection programs to keep you computer clean. It makes you put more money back into the economy and allow the software creators of these protection programs to prosper. Who knows, it could be these companies that created some of these programs that you need their software to cure. Just think about it, spyware IS good.

Now that you have read that, please read this. If you believe any of that, I have an oceanfront house in Oklahoma that I can sell you at a great price. Spyware, Trojan programs, and adware are nothing but a group of programs put on this planet to annoy us at all times. Most spyware and adware programs offer you free versions of their software that is sufficient enough to monitor your system on a regular basis. Although, there are those that offer a more detailed version at a higher price, most free versions are sufficient. Spyware is not good and these programs help keep it that way. Don't believe the hype!

FACT: Chances are your machine is hosting spyware. There are currently over 78,000 Spyware and Adware programs on the Internet that can affect your PC.

Here are 9 warning signs you should be aware of, if any of them pertain to you then your PC is most likely infected:

If you start you Internet browser and the homepage that pops up is not the one that has been set by you. You then change it back to what you want and then it goes back to something you didn't set again. This is one of the more common features and ways to tell that you have been taken over by some sort of spyware and that you should rid your system of it immediately.

If you get pop-ups that have been personalized with your name on them or you begin to receive pop up ads while you are not even connected to the Internet or don't have a browser open. This is one of the more annoying ways that your system will let you know that you have something other than normal operating in your system.

You start receiving very expensive phone bills that have you placing many calls to 900 numbers that you never heard and ones that have hefty per-minute rates. Spyware takes over your phone line due to the connection that you have in conjunction with that phone service, whether dial-up or broadband.

You enter a searchable item into your required Internet toolbar or address bar and then all of sudden an unapproved searching system handles your search. More infamous items are infected with stuff such as Mysearch Bar and other spyware type search engines that only take you to their approved sites.

Another sure fire way to know that you have spyware operating on your system is that
you have view your favorites list and you have favorite sites in their that you did not put in yourself and have found that other sites you put there are no longer found. You delete these items but they always show up again in your favorites.

Your system begins to run slower than normal. If you are a updated Windows OS user you pull up your task manager system information screen and see that your system is running at 100%, then you are infected with spyware because your system always needs a little free space in order to process information, which is why your system slows down when you have spyware on it.

At a time when you are not doing anything online, the send or receive lights on your dial-up or broadband modem blink just as wildly and lively as when you are online downloading a file or surfing the Internet. Also, your network icon on your screen will be flashing rapidly showing you that you are working on receiving and sending information from your system at a very rapid rate. This is the job of spyware here to send and receive information to your system without telling you.

A search toolbar or other browser toolbar appears even though you didn't request it or install it. Your attempts to remove it fail, or it comes back after removal. Parts of spyware registry files hide themselves in your system under aliases and unless you find all of them and remove them, then they will never leave your system, causing them to show up over and over again.

And the final sign is: Everything appears to be running normal but the most deceptive and devious spyware leaves no tracking information for you to find it anyway. This is the sure way to get you to check your system on a routine and regular basis so that you are sure you have no signs of an infection.
